Weddings are magical things. They show the height of human emotion and potential for love. They give us a glimpse into the most beautiful parts of our minds and hearts. Sirena and Rohan’s intimate ceremony at Atlanta’s Millennium Gate Museum only reminded us that love can be find you at any point of life - all you have to do is embrace it.

After a week of chilly weather and rain, Sirena and Rohan somehow had the most beautiful weather for their wedding day! The Millennium Gate Museum provided classic architectural elements which became a lovely canvas for the romantic details of the day. Both Sirena and Rohan were absolutely beaming, and the tenderness between them was palpable.

Quinn + Hayden : A Preview

The perfect way to describe the Grizzle wedding? A whole lotta love. (Thank you to Led Zeppelin for providing such a clever caption.)

The day was sweet and intimate. Full of close friends and family the Grizzle wedding was a wonderful blend of classic southern and a little bit of whimsy.

We shot Quinn and Hayden’s engagement photos back in January of this year and then in November we were honored to be able to capture their wedding day. It’s always neat to see how a couple grows together during a season of engagement. From being newly engaged to just days until the wedding, until they promise each other forever, it’s almost like it’s own little storybook.

A favorite moment? Most definitely the first look with the bride and her father. It was tender and sweet and perfect. We love capturing moments like these.

The bridesmaids were nothing but fun. You could see the tight bond they had with Quinn, especially when they saw Quinn for the first reveal!

The space for the ceremony was stunning with the colors of fall in full effect. It made for the perfect backdrop to such a sweet ceremony. Quinn was all smiles too, you could tell she was excited to spend the rest of her life with her most favorite person.

There was a sign behind the dessert bar with a quote, “You have my whole heart for my whole life.” And we just love that. It just really speaks to what Quinn and Hayden were feeling that day. And so, Mr. and Mrs. Grizzle it was truly a joy to be a part of your day, we offer our congratulations once more and wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Miranda + Ben : A Preview

Miranda and Ben’s day was such a dream. We have been so excited about sharing it, and though we wish we could share the whole day with you, we have yet to finish all of the photos! With so many beautiful elements to this day we just could not wait any longer.

As one of our last weddings of the year we can say with confidence that the wedding of Miranda and Ben was well worth the wait.

To start, we were super excited to work with our favorite coordinator and designer, Ms. Kecia Wilson of Three Little Birds weddings, so we knew immediately this wedding was going to be a showstopper.  Every detail from the bouquets to the sparkler exit was beautifully executed.

The pale pink bridesmaids dresses paired perfectly with the groomsmen’s navy suits and Miranda stole the show in her stunning Hayley Paige gown.

And the flowers? Um hello, they were wild and lovely. Full of lush greenery with accents of ruby and navy and soft touches of creamy whites and oranges.

Since it was November it was a bit chilly in the evening. So Miranda wore this gorgeous fur stole for some of the portraits and we were obsessed. The fur perfectly complimented the delicate lace of her gown and added a touch of elegance.

One of our favorite details from the wedding were the toasts at the reception. Never have we heard such memorable speeches with as much personality as these. From reminiscing on funny childhood stories to everyone knowing Miranda and Ben were instantly meant to be, capturing these moments was truly a treat.

The whole day you could really just feel the love between not only Miranda and Ben, but every friend and family member too.

We couldn’t have been more pleased to be a part of this beautiful day.

Congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Foster, we wish you nothing but happiness.

Holiday engagements are some of the most beautiful and memorable sessions to photograph, especially when you factor in the golden light and a small town decorated in lots of twinkling lights!  We loved using Historic Downtown Dahlonega as a backdrop for photographing this new chapter in Quinn and Hayden's life together.  Looking forward to photographing this sweet couple's wedding in November!

Happy New Year, friends!  We closed out 2017 with the sweetest wedding and we are excited to share it with you!  Winter weddings provide a completely different aesthetic and feel from any other season, one that is full of holiday cheer, classic color palettes, light-filled decoration, and enhanced familial bond.  Trust me, you will see why Laura and Todd's intimate wedding was easily one of our favorites of the year.

Even before we met Laura in person, she had a way of making us feel like she already knew us.  She is gregarious, witty, and she calls everyone by a lot of pet names (it's a southern thing).  This sort of kindred sensibility was matched by both families present for the wedding - everyone was just so nice and welcoming.  They spoke to me as if I had been a part of the crew for years, joking and teasing and asking if I needed assistance.  Things got comfortable very quick.

Laura and Todd's wedding was full of both classic and unique elements.  It featured the traditional reds and greens of the holiday season with the accompanying decorative elements.  However, sprinkled throughout were little stamps of detail that made this day stand out.  For example, Laura's dress was decorated with Todd's family tartan and embroidered with the wedding dates of important family members down the back of the train.  She also wore her grandmother's fur stole, which added a touch of vintage glamour to her ensemble - even though had not originally planned on wearing it!

The importance of family echoed throughout.  We took portraits at Todd's family home, with the afternoon light shining.  Laura's mother created her bouquet of gorgeous red roses and thistles.  Family members were so gracious and fun.  Happiness.

The ceremony was simple and elegant.  Golden afternoon light shined through shutters, candles lined the seating and walkway, an absolutely stunning arbor of branches centered the space.  I found out later that the arbor was crafted the night before and was a group effort among family members.  A sign saved a place for Todd's mother.   Laura was walked down the aisle by her parents and her two sons.  Again, family taking center.

The vows were soft-spoken, meaningful, and symbolized with both rings and a binding ceremony.  The first kiss was one of the most beautiful I had photographed in some time.  The smiles as they walked down the aisle together said everything.

This couple is special.  Even in a time where people are less and less genuine, and focus on insignificant minutia and pettiness, Laura and Todd found the kind of love that lasts forever.  You can see just see it in the way they look at each other, the way they care of each other, the way they show love to others.  Congratulations Laura and Todd!
